This week HIKSVS welcomed over 60 parents to two Open Mornings. Parents were treated to lesson observations, a tour of the campus and an opportunity to meet current students.
In the headmaster's introduction, Mr Green outlined the ethos and history of HIKSVS along with the importance of choosing well for a child. He emphasised the importance of looking at and speaking with the pupils to gauge if they were happy; suggesting that a happy child is a child who learns at a faster pace than one who is not. Ms Yang, the Chinese School Head, outlined the difference in the curriculum between a Chinese school and HIKSVS and the advantages of an international school education. Finally, Dr Pei discussed the use of textbooks in helping deliver the curriculum and how the two styles of education differed. We hope the parents were left impressed and eager for their child to join the School in the near future.
